Support Long Grove’s Parks & Natural Areas

Add Your Voice. Protect What Makes Long Grove Special.

The Long Grove Park District is proud to serve our community by preserving natural spaces, maintaining trails, and creating opportunities for residents to enjoy the outdoors. Unlike most park districts in the area, we are a non-taxing park district, which means we receive $0 in property tax revenue.

Every improvement we make depends on grants, donations, volunteers, and—most importantly—community support.

One of the most powerful ways you can help is by adding your voice.

Why Your Support Matters

When we apply for state and federal grants, agencies look closely at community engagement. Letters of support and petitions show that our residents care deeply about their parks and believe in protecting natural spaces for future generations.

Your support helps us:

  • Strengthen grant applications for park and trail improvements

  • Prioritize projects across our properties

  • Advocate for funding for habitat restoration and stewardship

  • Demonstrate that Long Grove’s parks matter to the people who use them

This is not about politics. It’s about preserving open space, protecting nature, and sustaining a unique park system built by the community.

What Your Support Will Be Used For

Community support helps us pursue funding for projects such as:

  • Trail improvements and accessibility

  • Habitat restoration and invasive species management

  • Woodland and prairie stewardship

  • Educational and community programs

  • Future park enhancements

Your information will only be used for Park District advocacy and grant purposes and will not be shared outside these efforts.

A Park District Powered by People

The Long Grove Park District operates with a small staff of 3 and a volunteer Board of Commissioners. We rely on residents, volunteers, and supporters to help guide priorities and care for our properties.

When you submit a letter or sign the petition, you become part of the team protecting Long Grove’s parks.

Together, we can ensure these spaces remain healthy, beautiful, and accessible for generations to come.
