At our Do Art 1-day Workshop Series, participants can sign up for a single session with the great team at Do Art Productions who will help uncover their inner magic:

Painting Workshop: We will all paint together with our own canvases and canvas paper, all paints, brushes, and canvases provided.  A great time to tap into your own creations while sharing the experience and inspiration with others.  We will guide through different techniques, paint mixing, shading and help with all creative inquiries.  More than one painting is encouraged and everyone will go home with stickers, and other materials to help further their creativity.  (All canvases and canvas paper, as well as paints and brushes will be provided.)

Acting Workshop: At the Do Art Acting workshop, we will learn about the different visual languages we use with our face, emotions, and body posture.  From these, we will try different improv scenarios at random, and see how easy it is to ‘get into ‘character’ and tap into our creative expression through the different visual cues.  We will then write our own part to act out!  

Comic Book Workshop: At the Do Art Productions Comic Book Workshop, we will explore the different languages of comics, from the eyes, to body posture, to the actual language within speech bubbles.  The workshop is interactive and very creative with little tricks and turns to keep engagement.  Wi noth a dynamic pose drawing exercise you may see juggling axolotls, flying giraffes, or dancing pandas.  After seeing how easy cartooning and creative expression can be, we will generate a comic together out of the characters and creativity of the first half!

    • Painting Workshop: Thursday, June 13th from 10AM-12PM

    • Comic Book Workshop 1: Monday, July 29th from 10:00AM - 12:00PM

    • Comic Book Workshop 2: Tuesday, August 13th from 10:00AM - 12:00PM

    • Acting Workshop: Tuesday, August 13th from 1:00PM - 3:00PM

  • Location: Reed-Turner Woodland Preserve, 3849 Old McHenry Rd, Long Grove

  • Notes: Class is managed by Do Art Productions

    • Sign up/Complete multiple classes and save!

      • 2 classes - receive a $10 credit on a future class

      • 3 classes - receive a $15 credit on a future class

      • 4 classes - receive a $20 on a future class

    • If you sign up for Comic Book Workshop 2 AND Acting, you may stay eat your brown bag lunch with the LGPD Staff in our courtyard!
